The Santa Fe Ski Basin is known as Ski Santa Fe, and it is located about sixteen miles northeast of Santa Fe in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on the southern end of the Rocky Mountain range. Its slopes are open with running lifts from 9:00 am through 4:00 pm every day.
Ski Santa Fe’s base area elevation is 10,500 feet. At its highest point, Ski Santa’s new Millennium Triple Chairlift reaches an elevation of over 12,000 feet. The panoramic view from the end of this lift is simply amazing.
Ski Santa Fe offers exciting ski opportunities for all levels of expertise. About 40% of the mountain will appeal to experienced skiers, about 40% will be
enjoyed by moderately-experienced skiers, and 20% is suitable for beginners.
Ski Santa Fe takes pride in its family-oriented approach, and offers a range of family ski services and instruction plus a wide variety of lift tickets, ski classes, and workshops.

At the Ski Santa Fe Base Lodge Café, skiers (and those who come to watch) can enjoy breakfast in the open dining area which offers a great view of many ski runs. At lunch, the café features home-made soups, a daily special luncheon, and tasty burgers in individual seating areas and picnic-style benches.
La Casa Base Lodge, at the entrance to the ski area, houses the main ticket office, ski patrol and first aid, the ski school office, a rental shop and Wintermill, a sports shop.
Higher on the slopes, Totemoff's Bar and Grill offers hot drink specials, mixed drinks, and cold beer all week long. Fridays through Sundays, the restaurant serves fare such as a tasty chicken sandwich, fajitas, build-your-own burgers, and veggie burgers. Views here of the scenery and the skiers are breath-taking.
Lift hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. The Ski Santa Fe Grooming Report lists open lifts and trails.
